Sherri Stevens is the founder and President of Stevens Resource Group (SRG), a temporary and permanent staffing service. Stevens offers a diverse range of superior human resource solutions, including professional search, employment assessments and training and consulting.

In 1990, Sherri opened Nine to Five Personnel Services in Woodstock, Ontario, a one-person branch, focusing on clerical and administrative staffing. Within the first year of business, increasing requests for industrial requirements shifted the focus. In order to reflect the company’s future diversification, Sherri changed the company name to Stevens Resource Group Inc.

Today SRG has grown from a one-person office to ten branches strategically located throughout Southwestern Ontario. This year Stevens Resource Group Inc. celebrates 16 years in business, an achievement Sherri is most proud of.

Prior to opening SRG in 1990, Sherri resided in Toronto, Ontario for eight years, working as an Administrative Manager for Olivetti Canada and a flight attendant for a well-known charter airline with destinations to Europe. Sherri is the past President of the Woodstock District Chamber of Commerce as well as past Program Director for the Human Resources Professionals of Oxford and District and involved extensively for 10 years within her church in a children’s outreach program.

Innovative, energetic and creative are three words that best describe Sherri. She has a true passion for what she does and finds the staffing industry challenging, interesting, ever changing and fun, all of which are very motivating to her.

Sherri’s organization consists of a dynamic team of individuals. She operates her business in a very democratic manner and firmly believes that the lifeblood of any organization is the collective strength of its people. By recognizing this, SRG has implemented several programs to encourage employee empowerment and retention.

Sherri’s motto:

“You’ve only one life to live. Make sure you are living it to it’s fullest. At the end of your life, you should be able to look back and say ‘I did it – I lived my dreams’. It’s never too late to do what you’ve dreamed of doing even if it is for a moment in time. And even if it doesn’t turn out the way you expected at least you’ll never have to say “what if….”
